As McCain Hits Wall Street, NY Dems Say New York Can't Afford Four More Years of Failed Bush Economic Policies

New York - Today June O'Neill, Chair of the New York State Democratic Party criticized Senator John McCain's economic plan hours before McCain headed to Wall Street to give a speech at Federal Hall.

"As yesterday's Quinnipiac Poll made clear, New Yorkers, by an overwhelming margin, are rejecting four more years of George Bush's failed economic policies and uniting behind Barack Obama's call for change."

"New Yorkers want a President who understands the needs of middle class families and how to get our economy moving again - not four more years of Bush-McCain tax breaks for oil companies and the very rich."

"Barack Obama's plan will cut taxes for 95% of American workers, put money back in the pockets of middle class families, make college and health care more affordable and close the Bush-McCain tax loopholes that have put billions of dollars in the hands of the oil and gas companies. New Yorkers are embracing Obama's plan and rejecting another four years of the same failed Bush economic policies that got us into this mess to begin with."
