New York Delegation Members, First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson, Attend Service Day Event

Members of the New York delegation were joined by Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson at a tree-planting in Denver's Curtis Park. The event, part of the Democratic National Convention's Service Day, was yet another demonstration of the delegation's commitment to making this Convention the most environmentally friendly event in Democratic history.

Delegate Breakdown

Updated at 4:00PM EST on February 6, 2008.

Democratic Presidential candidates are allocated delegate slots based on the proportion of the vote they (the Presidential candidates) receive in each Congressional District. These slots are filled by Delegates pledged to the Presidential candidate, starting with the highest vote-getter among candidates for Delegate, in a way that ensures gender parity. For more detail about how this process works, and for information about Statewide PLEO and At-Large Delegates, check out our Delegate Selection Plan or read this post on the New York Times City Room blog.
